Pareto principle - The so-called Pareto principle (also known as the 80-20 rule, the law of the vital few and the principle of factor sparsity) states that for many phenomena 80% of consequences stem from 20% of the causes. The idea has rule-of-thumb application in many places, but it is commonly misused.
Principle of territoriality - The principle of state sovereignty is often used to justify the rigid application of the principle of territoriality in establishing jurisdiction. It includes the right to exercise jurisdiction within your own territory, but also the corresponding obligation not to interfere with the rights of other states to exercise jurisdiction in their respective territories.
Limitations of special relativity - Einstein’s special theory of relativity derives physical laws by the application of a “restricted” or “special-case” version of the principle of relativity.
